Scouts continue to earn badges at home
By Tracy Forsyth (May 1 2020)
The 2nd Highland Creek Scouting groups would like to thank those who bought seeds from our spring fundraiser. Unfortunately, our recycling fundraiser was cancelled for this year but we look forward to having it next spring. We are grateful to live in a community that supports all our activities.
We haven’t been able to have in-person meetings since mid-March but have had meetings through Zoom and Teams chat platforms. We have also sent emails to challenge and keep our youth members engaged. The 2nd Highland Creek Scouting group has three Scouts who have earned their Chief Scout award, seven Beavers who have earned their North Star Award, and seven Cubs who have earned their Seeonee award. These are the top awards for their sections and will be awarded as soon as we get together again. Congratulations for work well done!
Beavers have been busy working on personal achievement badges at home and Alec has shared with us some of the items he has completed for his Creative Beaver badge. Well done, Alec!
All volunteers are looking forward to when we can see the youth once again.
